Error error usually means it's the faulty part ( Mmi head unit)
Try buying a optic test loop on suspect modules like phone nav etc.
Buy a cheap used Mmi head unit to test with.
Still cheaper than going to the dealer and having them swap in new modules.

The wire was corroded i think water probably got to it

which version? mii 1190 0r 3360? if youre 1190 you need the update software
