I have the MMI that’s in the down position. I was told it was the controller. I replaced the controller and still nothing. It seems as if no power at all is going to the MMI. When I press the button to raise it lower the screen, I get nothing. When I press the buttons on the controller, still nothing. I checked the fuses in the trunk and they all have power but not sure if I need a module or if I’m missing something.???

One thing about MMI is not to guess and replacing components blindly, unless you have tons of money to throw at parts. You're missing the whole system, read it, troubleshoot systematically. This is what I know about MMI system, I'm sure others may disagree.

Not enough diagnostic information to assess You should search on the hundreds or more of posts on it to assess those against your symptoms. Most basic starting points would be things like seeing if the keys are illuminated. A scan with VCDS or similar equipment also comes early--not an OBDII reader to be clear that is only for engine. Given screen motors fail, some owners disconnect the power supply to them--another scenario if you don't know car history. Too many things to guess at on too old a car and probably without continuous owner history.
