Default MMI rboot

hey guys, 04 A8
i am hoping this has happened to someone in the past, already searched the forums and did not see anything on it. Woke up this mornng and headded to starbucks while in route i hit the car button... mmi reboots, and has continued to do the sme all day long, tried the three button reboot and that has not helped, all other functions work yet if i hit the "car button" the system just reboots no buttons seem to be stuck.

any ideas?

Sounds as if one of the MMI buttons is stuck.

I turnd the car off and made sure that none of them were stuck and everyting else seems fine but s soon as i hit the car button the mmi goes dead and reboots, the car button never even lights up it just crashes the whole system.

Default Time to get it replaced.

I had a button fail and caused somewhat similar symptoms. They were replaced under warranty. You need to do the same, no fun watching teh MMI reboot constantly.

9 x out of 10 there is a slight edge or corner of a button stuck, do you see any of the MMI side buttons "lit up" that shouldn't be? I once had a grain of salt stuck in a button. I now carry a can of compressed air in the car for specs of dust, etc.

That doesn't mean you don't have to post pics ;-)

Hopefully you'll have a uneventful time getting the MMI replaced.
