MMI Software Update 2004 A8L
Back when I had my 2004 VW Touareg, there were people in the North Jersey / NYC area that helped each other out with VAG-COM issues and other software updates.
Is there someone in the NYC tri-state area that could:
- Update MMI to latest/best version
- Provide a burned copy of the latest NAV DVD?
I haven't checked my SW version, or anything like that (Car is in my garage), but am wondering if anyone here can assist?
Would hate to pay dealer exorbitant fees for such a simple update.
Additionally, if no one is nearby, is it possible to get copies of these MMI updates from one of the members here? I've tried torrenting, and could only find EU versions.

The MMI update disc is $5. Most will need a Nav update also which is
where it gets expensive. The discs for the Nav update (5 or higher) are about $300.00 iirc.
You cannot upgrade the MMI very far with the Version 4 Nav discs.
My car is at the dealer right now getting the MMI update with new ver. 5 nav disks under the TSB. I'm still under factory warranty, and it took a little work on my part, but they agreed to take care of it.
I printed out the TSB and handed it to the service advisor.
