MMI Upgrade was done today...well, almost..
The dealer was somewhat oblivious. First he called me and said the TSB upgrade was not available yet according to the regional Audi rep even though I supplied him a printout of it DAYS before I went in for the upgrade(which he scheduled!). I told him to check it out further, as another dealer in the area has done more than a few already.
While I was waiting for a callback, I called audi USA...and believe it or not, they seemed to be very helpful.
Soon thereafter, my dealer called back to say that the regional rep will have to do the upgrade, and he will do it at my convenience anytime next week (another day waisted...but what the hell..). So I scheduled it for next Thursday.
Soon thereafter AUDIUSA called back to confirm that the dealer had called me back to set up an appointment for the upgrade.
A hearty "right-on" to AUDI USA. Maybe they have finally got their act together!

Your dealer is full of **** and wasting your time.
I did the same thing you did. The dealer got the disk from Audi before I came in and did it that day. No "regional rep".
I use Zumbach in NYC. Most of their mechanics have over 10 years experience working on Audis. These guys really know what they are doing. Which may explain why there was no regional rep involved.
BTW the upgrade fixed all the complaints I had with he MMI.

Supposedly the disk was ordered but did not arrive...
...I use Beiner and so far they have been great..up 'til now...
I'll give them another chance and see how it goes.
BTW, the talk on the A6 board is that a regional rep is usually involved.
