Motorola V710 2006 A8L issues with call waiting. Anyone else have this issue?

If my phone is docked in the V710 cradle and I receive a call, the MMI shows me the ID if they're in my phone book or just the number if they're not. However, when I get a call waiting call, all I hear is the beep and nothing shows up on the MMI (i.e. replace or ignore w/ the ID or number calling).

However (And this is the weird part) when I disconnect the phone from the cradle and connect via bluetooth and do the same thing, it shows me the call waiting caller ID on the MMI, but if I try to switch over to the other call, I drop both calls.

Seems to me the cradle should talk to the MMI better than Bluetooth or at least the same.

This is not the first time I've had issues w/ a V710. A previous model's bluetooth just stopped working out of the blue (pun intended).

I'm not so concerned with the Bluetooth, 'cus I'm not quite sold on the stability of the protocol. However I'm wondering why it's not working when it's connected in the cradle. The even stranger this is that it used to work just fine last week.

Hmmmm....

Mine will not get incoming calls at all when it's docked, they go straight to voicemail('06 A6 4.2). I got the 815 that I'm using in the 710 cradle. I think it's a compatibility problem somewhere mmi>cradle>phone.

My V600 works fine with cradle and BT. Haven't tried call waiting....

Same subject different issue

I notice that I get an MMI prompt to replace or ignore call. Is there no way to put the current caller on hold, pick up the incoming call and return to the origional caller. I've not figured that one out.
