You'll be much better putting the VCDS in the bag, fix the car just like your MBZ, you'll be saving money and unnecessary aggravation. I only fixed broken things that I can verify, never what VCDS tells me because the Audi Software engineers aren't so good in problems isolation reporting. The old fashioned way with brains is always the way to keep A8L in great shape for many years to come.

That's exactly what I plan to do. I mainly wanted to get to know how to run a VCDS report and get familiar with it. One of the first things I plan to do is get the windows tinted about 25 or 30 percent. Then keep an eye on the weather so I can do a full paint correction...Wash, Clay, Compound, Polish and heavy duty Collinite Wax just like the Benz gets. Thank you for your feedback!

Tinted windows look nice but I can never stand the scratches on them... I've never tinted any of my nice cars... why hide your face... not proud of the car?
Cheers,
Louis

I was diagnosed with a lymphoma growth on my skin some years ago and have beat that battle. I always have to have some mild protection. I never go any darker than 25%.

Sorry about that Basenco, didn't know it was for a medical reason, my bad...
Watch out for something in the door keep scratching and ruin the tint film. Make sure it's not there before doing it. I've read at least 2 posts having the same scratches problems.

Hey Louis. No problem, you didn't know. Will definitely do. I always use the same shop and they are very particular about their work. When they schedule you for an appointment, they are strick to keeping their time schedule, if you show up late then you have to re-schedule.They have done my Benz and Acura with no issues.
