Default Need help with fault code of Steering angle sensor.

how are you guys doing? I have a 2004 audi A8L and its giving error code for the steering angle sensor. I used vag-com scanned the abs module and the error was:
01826 - sensor for steering angle(G85) - supply voltage terminal 30
000 --

Has anyone had this error before and how to fix it? What should i look for? thanks

I connect vag-com to check the steering angle and it stuck at -2.5*. It doesnt change at all while i steer. On my other audi it changed while i steer the steeringwheel. Could it be the steering angle got stuck somehow?

Go into the ABS Module via VCDS and then coding I and enter the code 40168. It should grant you access to basic settings. Then, with the steering wheel perfectly centered, go into basic settings. There should be a drop-down selection for steering angle sensor alignment. Select it, exit out, and it should be all good from there.

Thank you so much! it was able to cleared the steering angle fault. The only thing left now is rear left ABS wheel speed sensor. It should be an easy fix.

I have the same problem and I do have VCDS but do I just need to do what you did or get another sensor?

Ive just replaced the steering control module, steering angle sensor and I’ve still got the fault that the angle sensor doesn’t change when I turn steering wheel it stuck at 2.5 and all the these lights come on when I put the full cut to the right. The old steering control module and steering angle sensor done the exact same

Can anyone help me out

You have to complete login-11 then coding and then go to login to enter the steering angle sensor calibration aonce its accepted all that u go to basic settings and click steering angle sensor to actually calibrate it bht make sure the steering wheel is straight
