Need help on removing rear seat back
I've finally decided to do something about the humongous headrests in the rear, which I think present a real safety issue. I found a custom upholstery shop willing to cut them down to a more reasonable size.
Problem is, they can't be removed except by first taking out (or tilting forward) the rear seat back. And it's not obvious how to do that. I took out the seat bottom and found four bolts (2 on each side) holding the bottom of the seat back in place. But even after removing those, the back still wouldn't budge. Does anybody here know the trick? Are there some hidden bolts somewhere? Is it necessary to remove the trunk liner in order to access them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
