Default negative camber issue

2005 Audi A8L 4.2L, 188,000 miles. StrutMasters CoilOver Suspension conversion from the air ride.

I am having a problem with driver-side, front tire wearing to the cords on the farthest INSIDE 3/4" of the tread in 5-6,000 miles. My mechanic says there is no way to adjust the camber. Can you recommend a kit or a fix?

Yes and no on the adjustment. You can shift the front cradle to make an adjustment but if you go positive camber on one side, it will go more negative on the other side so we need to see your specs to see if it's worth trying.

also camber alone wont do that.
I run -7 degrees in the rear of my Lexus and can get almost 20k miles out of a set of tires.
Your toe must be very out of spec, suspect toe in.

I agree that a toe out of spec will significantly wear tires more that camber. If you have inner edge wear that would be toed out too much. Also toe wear is more of a feathered wear vs camber is smooth wear. That is why we need to see specs to really determine the cause. It might be both toe and camber.

Default UPDATE: apparently fixed

So one shop says they can't fix it. This shop says it is toe that caused my drivers front tire to wear to the cords(only the inside 3/4" in 5,000 miles, but not the other side) and fixed it for $88. Is this possible? could that amount of "toe-out" caused this?

If a shop says that toe caused only inner wear on one side, they are total idiots and run. Toe will wear inner or outer edge wear on both sides equally. That is why you have to look at total toe for tire wear and not each individual toe, which determines steering wheel position.

If you are wearing only on one side, it's something in the suspension that is loose. From looking at your spec, it's not camber wear either. It just pains me to see ignorance from a shop because I oversee 7 tire shops in the ATL area. BTW, because of your sig, do you live in GA?
