Default New A8 Owner in UK.

<center><img src="http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj243/poddyus/1289-l.jpg"></center><p>Hello All...

New A8 owner in UK....2008 quattro sport.

Purchased the car new in March and spent the last 2 months trying to decide on new wheels...!!

Finally made a decision and just Changed the 19" sport wheels for these 22" Ascari Konvex wheels and am delighted.

Surprisingly there is not a noticeable difference in the ride...hope you like.

Default Down in Sunny Somerset then? Looks like you will take up all three lanes on the M5.....

with those on!

Nice car although for me 22" are a bit too fragile and add too much roling inertia, but if you like them, that is all that matters. They certainly stand out!

The rolling inertia isn't really much different from stock...the overall rolling diameter is within 2% but the wheel and tyre combo are actually lighter than the OEM so it will be much the same....the ride is actually very similar but it has sharpened the steering up..which isnt a bad thing!...
As for the fragility, these are the first 22's i have had...only time will tell, and maybe a pot hole or two..!!

Default It may be worth seeing if your dealer can keep one in stock - if you bend one in a years'...

time and you cannot match the design you will be up for replacing all four!

Default Nice to see another UK car on the AW forum. Nice motor to. I'm running

20" and more than happy with the ride although I do get a bit of tramlining sometimes. I dread to think what you pay for tyres though at 22"... I thought mine were expensive LOL.
