Default New Oyster A8L came home today!!

I requested a few photos last week, and decided to go after an Oyster car upon seeing the uniqueness of the color. Although it wasn't equipped exactly as I would have liked, I was somewhat lucky to find an oyster due to it's sold order requirement. It has the Amaretto interior, convenience package and ventilated seats. Now I just need the sun to come back out to fully enjoy the depth of the Oyster paint!!

Default Congratulations!

I also fell in love with the oyster grey and ended up getting a car that wasn't exactly equipped the way I wanted, but I don't regret it one bit!

Hopefully the sun will come out again soon :-) I know I'm ready to say goodbye to the rain of Northern California!

Default Great looking car!

...I haven't seen too much about the ventilated seats here in this forum. I had to order my car (green-cream/beige) with vent. seats. Can't wait for the hot weather to test them out!

..actually, I tried them out already, but at 23 degrees, it's hard to tell if they are really "cool"...

You will barely be able to "feel" the air coming out of the ventilated seats. Audi told me if you placed a tissue on the seat and set the blower on 6, you might see it move. Others have said you have to sitting on the seat in the nude in order to feel the air, but let's not go there.

Default My friend's CLS55 has *great* cooled seats, but...

...the backseat is about the size of the backseat I had in my '99 Boxster!!

I'll see what the Audi is like soon enough...

It was one of our rare cloudy days yesterday, so the true metallic nature of the color doesn't shine through in that picture.

I noticed a small detail on the car yesterday as well. The piece that fits into the front plate holder has two chrome strips running through them. If I had opted to mount a plate, they were missing. It's both the big and little details really set our Audis apart from the crowd!

Don't get your hopes (or your temperature) up. Cooling is "subtle," at best

Default For me the ventilated seats are more than worth it.

Sometimes I "feel" it, sometimes not, but they always keep me from sweating or sticking to the seat. That's what I wanted.
