Default New 'quirk' with MMI upgrade

Has anyone else experienced this:

Since my MMI upgrade, whenever I start my car, the radio tunes into an AM station that I a) do not have stored in memory, and b) never listen to. Further, at the top of my 'memory station' screen, it lists this station as if I am ready to store it in the first open memory location. No matter how many times I clear this, it seems to reset to this phenomenon every time I start the car. To make matters worse, it is one of those 'muzak' style stations that makes me want to scream every time I hear it.

Default I hear your scream MBD! Ive never heard this one before.

The last station played before shutdown should come right back on ignition. The upgrading is not without some issues and this is yours! Did you call the dealer?(a rhetorical question!!)Please let us know what happens.

Default Sounds like a good excuse. Road Trip! Drive beyond the reception area for the am...

station that is giving the problem. Try it there and see what happens. Maybe it has to 'learn' something new... Good luck and have a fun trip!!!

Is the last station you listen to before you turn off the ignition AM or FM? I'd think if it were an FM station, the car would default to the FM band when you started it, rather than the AM station you always get. Also, possibly by going into the radio set-up mode and changing the signal strength you might get rid of the offending AM station.

Default Good question. This happens only when I turn off the car while I have an AM station on.

And I've tried changing the "alt frequency" and 'distance/local' settings but same problem occurs as this is a rather strong station. I'm baffled.

I have been having the same exact problem since the upgrade. Also since the upgrade the screen always opens when I start the car even if it was closed when I shut the car off. Before the upgrade when it was closed it would stay closed. Anybody else experiencing this too?

Default I was going to raise this as an "uh oh" myself, along with...

the fact that, before my update (I got my car back just yesterday, by the way) I'd never had that 'spontaneous reboot' problem several forum members have mentioned. I've now had the thing reboot twice, and go into some sort of slowed creepy state with the radio on a strange station, but muted.
<sigh>
I'm hoping it'll work itself out, but I'll be calling the dealer next week if it keeps up.
