OEM stock wheels is what you should go with. Look at the wheel options that Audi had for the car. There will likely be something that you will like.

Plenty of 20" stock Audi wheels to choose from that look really good. I'd personally like to get a set of 21" Peelers. I still have stock wheels on the S8, but upgraded to a tire size that is normally used on the A8L W12, nice ride. Many many options out there, try to stick with stock Audi or a known forged wheel.
good luck.

Lots of good aftermarket OEM style wheels out there. I stayed with 19's this time because I wanted the ride more than the look. This is the first time I've ran a tire with more meat that a 35 series in a long time!

There may be additional OE forged varieties but I know with certainty that both finish styles of seven double spoke 20's are forged and very light and the 19" turbines are also forged and even lighter. MP4.2+6.0 actually weighed the 20's and included the weight of the 19's in a older post from around 2010.

In the US, OE 20's appeared in 2007 on sport package D3s and W12's with a light face and tinted accents and 2008-2010 all polished. The 19" turbines were an option in the US from 2004-2007.

You can't go wrong with the forged turbine 19's. OE wheel so won't be value subtract when you go to sell. I believe they are the lightest unsprung weight with OE wheels and also more ride comfort than 20's. I personally think they look great on D3's and to me look bigger than they are.

I had the turbine 19" wheels on my car before I replaced with the current setup. I had boxed them up to keep since they were the original wheels for the car. After several months now taking up space in the garage - I've been thinking about letting them go. I just don't see the need to hang on to them. I don't want to turn your thread into a Craigslist ad, so if you have any interest you can PM me and I'll get some pics for you. Just let me know.

Wheels are tough - there's just too many choices! Good luck!

Those are some of the very few wheels I think look good on a D3 besides the factory turbines! Good choice!

Hey, I thought you'd disappeared Mr. Modest! (always liked your username). Welcome back, or excuse me because I've been off the AW so much!

Thanks - I had a hard time finding something I really liked. I was just after a more updated look, not a wheel that was common and screamed aftermarket. I was surprised to see a pretty good selection of Audi style wheelss out there. They took hubcentric rings but still balanced out great on the car - I couldn't tell a difference over the stock at all.
