Hello, ive been looking for 2006 A8L Adaptive stock headlights, but i keep finding Non-Adaptive light units, will Non- Adaptive stock lights work i my car, will the plugs match or the system recognize the lights or will it just flash saying light is out. Need to know for sure before spending the money, thank you for any help. Kevin.

i doubt they are interchangeable. i tried to fit 2005 adaptive light to my 2006 and the wiring harness will not align. As another test, remove headlight and remove rear plastic housing...then look for broken wire inside the headlight. Some folks have found broken wire and it will throw the message. You may get lucky and save some cash.

My issue is, a past owner, crack them open a put crap after market bulbs in, so lights come on when they feel like it and i get condensation inside. Need just to replace back to stock. But finding a lot of 06 non-adaptive headlights, i guess i dont really need that option cause its not workng now anyway. So i need to know if someone has swapped them and what they did, thanks
