Off-Topic: Audi A7

According to Auto-Motor-Und-Sport.de and my rudimentary understanding of German language, Audi is planning 7 new model releases within the next 3 years. Including the all new Audi TT, the A5, the all new A4, and Q5 and Q3, not to mention the Roadjet....yet perhaps most exciting is the A7. Based on the A8 platform, it will serve as MB CLS fighter. Sleeker and more aggressive than the A8, it will be an all Aluminium body much like th A8. Priced between the A6 and A8 obviously.
Here is a Photoshop rendering of the A7.
Cheers.

I'd love an Audi with all the amenities of an A8...
...The elegant dashboard, excellent seats, topflight appointments, fine quality fit and finish, etc., all in a slightly smaller, more nimble and fun to drive car.
In my opinion, the A6 doesn't quite fit the bill; it compares to an A8 in much the same way that my old 540i compared to the 740i Sport I traded it in for. Stepping into the 740i was really eye-opening. Virtually everything about the larger sedan was, quality-wise, a cut above the mid-size car, from the lids on the storage compartments to the ***** and dials on the dash.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the A6; it just doesn't have the luxurious look and/or feel of the A8. Maybe the A7 will be the answer.

The concept of a slightly smaller and sportier car built with all/most of the A8...
amenities (and such things as all aluminum construction)is very appealing to me. To me, it is an automobile for someone who is looking for A8 quality and cache but is not quite ready for the slightly more staid A8- S Class - 740 styling and size. I would bet that this concept is right in the "sweet spot" of many of the baby boomers.

1,000,000-1, there will be S7 and RS 7 versions of the A7
Despite the fact that the A7 will be on the D4 platform that the next A8/A8L will be on with the S8 always being the only high performance version of the A8 with no RS 8 version of the A8 ever. Honestly though, I think that the A7 will end up being the Nuvolari with four doors (a four door coupe and convertible; Nuvolari was a coupe only, BTW) rather than what is in that photoshopped picture.
