ok, obvious question on coding...
Being a new 2005 A8L owner, I have already made a few changes to stop those crazy chimes and buzzers...just as many of you have. However, I ran codes and noticed that coding for each module is given. Has anyone had luck with a friend in a TV enabled, or other "neat stuff" country? Meaning has anyone seen a code run from a other market car? It would be fun to see how the code differs and try to see what could be enabled or toyed with.

Re: Well what would you be interested in enabling?
Have no idea beyond investigating the TV, blueTooth, and maybe looking into the "Arabia and Australia" A/C coding (extra cooling I hear..good thing in Dallas). Would like to know what the rest of the world gets that I don't even know about yet.

Ok...
TV is possible but you have to buy the tuner. One thing I saw is the option for digital (Sat. TV) under the electronics 2 tab along with the standard tv. Blootooth most likely wont happen...I'm working on it but not getting very far. I'll look into the a/c coding when I get the car back.

I would almost bet for sure that Bluetooth is not going to happen
In order for it to happen, you'd need to change the telematics box out and change any wiring that would be necssary to support the new box.

Right...Bluetooth is on MOST where as OnStar is K-Line. However...
Im thinking that Control Module 4D (Data Transfer) has something to do with BT. Either that or the Internet function in Europe.

I finally get it
The Telematics box does not have a MOST connection....just the 42 pin connector....wonder where the Bluetooth box is in the new A8's, under the driver's floor like the present Telematics box?
Regardless, if you could get the new box, then run MOST cables to it, and it would need power, switched power, ground and maybe a few other things, you could retrofit it.....if the software works....
But that sounds like a small fortune.
