the Panamera may be ugly but DAMN is it fast..... !
 

merging onto 95 this morning with one behind me I caught a glimpse of it as I tuned onto the two lane on-ramp..... he moved quckly into the outside lane with me in the inner, and with no one in front of us on the on-ramp and light traffice to merge into ( 4 lanes - 6am)we both nailed it.... I literally laughed as his car squatted ( 1st to 2nd shift I'd guess) and then left me in the dust..... he had 5+ carlengths by the time we hit the merge and just walked away.

I didn't see but hope that it's the turbo.....

not so sexy looking tho' - but suspect it could be dressed up a bit with the right parts from Techart or 9ff....

still ove my car for the money however.....

After the launch of the hugely underwhelming D4....as ugly as the panamera is, im glad porsche truly still knows how to make sporty cars without all the marketing jargon audi has been using of late and pissing me off.

Nevertheless you are right...for the money, the A8 D3 is just perfect...the panamera turbo is seriously alot of money unless you are trading in a car for it, and I feel the upcoming m5 is going to make the overprice panamera t look ridiculous.

Drive one. They are more amazing dynamically than they are ungainly looking from the side. Sounds like you saw a turbo that is clocked by R&T at 3.4 secs. 0-60. Outrageous speed and very satisfying to drive. The ride is astonishingly smooth given the grip.
