Yes, I know the date says December last year, but I was unable to reset these errors. And the light was on. Over the last few months, I have done teh same routine: separating the connector, putting some contact solution on it, the light went away and the top error (02439 / 004) went away (the other two remained, 02596 and 02439 / 008).
After a few days, the light always came back on and the error re-appeared.
Monday I swapped to summers, took apart the connector again and also took the time to physically press the connectors together, using a thin set of pliers. Drove the car and the light was off, but amazingly, today (after about 40 miles of driving and 4 or 5 ignition cycles) I was able to clear the error codes!
So - for others who see the same problem, seems like the Hall sensor connector is very sensitive to less than perfect connection in the connector, and that a certain number of miles, time, or ignition cycles resets the error to a state where they can be erased.

How did you take the connector apart?
I was able to remove the purple piece that holds the orange seal in, which does me no good, and that's about it.
Did you remove the round plugs around the wires on the back somehow, to get to the back part of the female connectors?
Thanks.

Hmmm, it is a while back (error never came back by the way). it I recall correctly, I just used a very thin set of needle nose pliers and squeezed.

Thanks Carl.
So not actually disassembling the female connector attached to the EPB motor, but just going in from the side of the connector that plugs into the male wiring harness, and pressing the visible upper and lower ends of each of the four terminals together?
There's not much room there, that must be a very thin set of pliers!
