I did activate and disengage the parking brake. It sounded fine, but the fault didn't go away. I didn't try resetting it with VAGCOM, yet. The car is still covered by Audi Assured. I am a little surprised that I can't find the fault code in the Bentley manual.

Try the other obvious thing...
after the other stuff that's been mentioned.
Go to the left rear wheel and unplug the connector for the parking brake unit (the relatively large one back there that clearly ties to the brake caliper) and then plug it back in again. Could be as simple as a dirty/slightly corroded connector. If you jack up the rear, can be done from underneath w/out removing wheel, though easier w/ wheel off. Look for any physical damage too of course.

Hello Everyone, I am new here and this may have been covered but I could not find it. I have a 2005 Audi A6 3.2L V6. Recently I had the breaks changed and now I have a "parking break malfunction". I did a self-diagnosis and this is what I got. Also, when I start driving the car after 9 KM/H I hear a straight tone that doesn't turn off until speed is below 9KM/H.
However My breaks and park break are 100% functional. It is just the beeping and the icons on my dashboard.

If anyone has any feedback on what needs to be replaced and what might the problem be. Please let me know. Thanks in Advance

I'm not sure if you are referring to me (OP) or the A6 issue. ...I did as MP suggested (not the only time either). I unplugged it and plugged it back in. No more problems with it in the past 8 years.
