Very nice find. Engine bay looks immaculate. I spent over 4 hours reading the manual the day after I got my S8. I am still not fluent with the navagation system, some things I cannot do on the fly.
Good luck with your beautiful car!

A few more pics - I am still amazed at the sophistication of a car that came to market 8 years ago.

You have picked a good year since you don't have to worry about the timing belt and water pump service. As far as upgrading the start/stop button get the upgraded buttons which is silver which looks a lot better than the stock one. They changed it from 2008-10.
Thanks for the tip on the Start Stop button. I will figure what I need to buy and upgrade the button.

Does the start button have the fingerprint scanner? If you change it to the metal one you will lose that feature.

Mike
Does not appear to have a fingerprint scanner, did they have a biometric security starter button as far back as this?

Thanks, really like it. I have the manual out setting up phones etc. Been playing with features all day. Clean engine bay, photo looks a little wierd, took with iPhone 6+ on pano mode.

I believe the fingerprint scanner was only for the memory seat and climate settings. Also not available to us lowly Americans....

Ahh shame. It is quite a good feature. It isn't security, but it does do everything the memory key can remember. And it can be changed on the move.

How, does the drivers memory work instead? Is there the memory buttons on the door pocket like the passenger side?

Thanks, the B&O system is very nice once dialed in and you have a good recording to show it off. Listening to Jackson Browne Solo Acoustic Live and it sounded Live!
