Default Picking up an A8L next week with air suspension issue

I'm picking it up next week. Thankfully it's not too far away from the house. but its air system is inoperative and it's flat on the ground. I aim to flatbed it out of there. Any issues with that?
I was thinking maybe I may also try and air it up with a remote pump to make getting it on the flatbed easier.
I'm getting this for a steal and aside from the suspension issue, it's in great shape.
Plus I'm an old mechanic who loves electronics projects and a good challenge (yes I have a Vag-Com and Audi experience)

I think pumping it up a tad bit is a good idea so it doesn't scrape. Are the air struts shot or is it the compressor?

The compressor does not work. I think the computer was disconnected as I dont see any warning lights on the dash.

I Think im going to bring some wood planks to make a ramp up to the flat bed.

Thats a good idea. What year is it? And if you don’t mind me asking how much did you get it for?

You can drive even if it's low to the ground, just avoid potholes. At least you can see how the car is running and MMI is working.
Cheers,
Louis

Thanks for the advice. I love your air spring replacement videos. Its one of the reasons to buy this car. Good information!

I have already checked out most of the systems. Runs and drives well.

How are the airsprings doing ? still working?

Thanks again

George

Find the problem correctly and you will have a great car, don't replace good parts and introduce new problems in the process.
Cheers and congrats,
Louis

If it's just the pump that's inoperable, purchase a new/remaned pump and install it on purchase. Should only take 30-60 min and you can drive the car home.
