Play Music With iPhones and Android Phones Wirelessly
Alright, I got a new iPhone 6, the AMI connectors on my A8 and Q7 are 30 pins. I can't stand NOT being able to play my music from my iPhone 6, I looked at all the possibilities to wirelessly to connect my iPhones and it works. No need to spend tons of money for all these after market devices. A simple connection. I forgot to play Pandora, but I'm sure it works.

I'm confused--how did you connect the phone to the radio to play the music? Is there another device installed there? I can make calls on mine via bluetooth but have never tried to play music as I have read the car is not set up for that...

+1, not quite sure what you're showing here? Have you done anything different from having Bluetooth phone and a Bluetooth a2dp AMI dongle?

I'm using ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000 - Wireless Bluetooth Music Interface Adapter for Car Audio Integration with my IPhone, it displays the name or the radio station, song, etc. works great.

Are you using the bluetooth adapter for the AMI? I tried that but the sound was not as good as connecting the 30 cable on the old iPhones.

After testing for a day... it does work with a little hiccup
It does take 3-4 minutes to initialize the bluetooth dongle. I have to wait until the radio speaker icon with the slash to go before I can use it. If you can stand the wait and you don't have ipod or iphone (30 pins connectors), you can use your Android or even windows phones to play the music.

I'm sure you can use any other ones, but this one works with original AMI in my Q7. Doesn't work with after market AMI on my A8L. I bought this one to test with the car and the sound bar I had at home. Cheers, Louis |
The Bluetooth adapter is connected to the car Ipod (IPhone) cable such that I can stream music using my Iphone. The quality is as good as it can be considering, but probably not as good as an uncompressed source connected direct to the cable.

The direct iPod connection sounds louder...
Again, if you turn on the volume of the iPhone it will sound very nice. This is the alternative for Android phones and if you don't have the 30 pins iPods. The cost of buying a 30 to 8 pins connection cost almost the same or more. I'll have the full video as soon as I come back from the bicycle rides with the kids today.

If you're on CD/AUX when you start the car it connects right away, if you left the car and you're on, let's say, satellite and you change it to CD/AUX ( where the Bluetooth adapter is connected ) it takes maybe 30 seconds to initiate.
