Power soft close doors

Love this feature, but getting tired of having to remind everyone (myself included occasionally!) not to slam the doors. Just curious if there is any potential for damage to the soft-close system by shutting the doors hard. I know it can be disabled but I'd rather not have to resort to that.

Ask the offender to put his hand on the door jamb, then close the door on his hand. Would be a good reminder to not slam the door again.

Even without the soft close doors it is necessary to slam doors on A8s, they are made from aluminium and are quite light compared to bmws, and mercedes of the time.
