Default Problem with background lighting.

I noticed my background lighting was off the other day and went to check the settings. I noticed that they now only work when they're set to "City." As soon as I set them to "Highway," they go dark. Is there some trick to these lights that I need to know about?

Have you chacked the screen that sets the lighting level for the background lighting? (not the off/on screen -- the one with the dial) Maybe it got turned way down somehow.....

Steve, I haven't "RTFM" for a while but I think the "mood lighting" is only available in City mode by design. I don't know if there is a code to change it but maybe one of the tech experts on the forum would.

Default If you press and hold the overhead interior light switch...

It will fade to your liking and if you press the "light on" switch with the lights already on, you can set the back interior light as well.

Default Is this normal then?

One other poster mentioned that the background lighting normally only comes on when it's set to "City." But I know when I picked the car up a couple of weeks ago the "Highway" and "City" setting both worked fine. I could set either one at a different brightness level and then switch between them when I wanted to. Now, the "Highway" setting turns the upper lights off completely no matter what level of brightness I have it set to.

Default Steve, mine has always been set to "city" for the "mood" lighting.

It seems to me that when I set mine to highway, I experienced what you did and that may be normal.

The floor lighting and overhead lights works on in City Mode. The door lighting is active in both modes. I also discovered that the dimming mirrors don't work in city mode, only highway mode.

Default Mine's on Highway to show of the CFLs...

...heck, I paid money for those. Anyway, you're probably just not seeing the other light settings because it's too light... you SHOULD see all the different configurations in the dark.
