Replacement key

Where is the cheapest place I can get a 2nd key made ( I'm selling the car and I seem to have lost the spare)

The only place to get it is a dealer because they have to program it with the car.

Actually there are a limited number of independent locksmiths that can help you. You will still need to bring lots of money.

u will still have to get it program at the dealership,just get a non fob one
and u have to order buy vin#

It is not about FOB programming. You can do it yourself. It is about immobilizer programming and that can be done only at a dealer connected to the main server in Germany.

Why bother if you're selling the car? I bought mine used with only one key. it was as-is, where is. I bought the additional key myself.

Just as Mister Bally mentioned, I wouldn't worry about it. You can be the nice guy and go through the hassle and money or just ignore it. Mine came with only one key and my father's A8 only came with one key when he bought his. Hasn't really bothered me, I feel that if I got another key it would just bring up the opportunity to lose it somewhere.
