After several discussions with ECS Tuning they state that the A8 Calipers (4.2L) are the same as the S4 therefore the S8 Caliper Clip will not work. Still didn't get a P/N though.

Default Don't know what you are using for part #'s (and skip ECS), but...

try Jim Ellis Audi parts on line. They typically have part numbers, unlike audiusaparts for example. They won't have the cheapest price though from what I've seen:

http://www.jimellisaudiparts.com/sho...rimLevel=19049

Try part #4, for the S8 that is with the A suffix rather than the A6 and other A8's, w/ the B suffix--had to enter a 2008 since their pull down menus don't have a 2007 S8 like they should.

Should thus yield 4E0 615 269A. Then on audiusaparts, price goes from a way high $139.25 to a still high $103.25 (each). Yet pricier than they used to be. As I thought, ECS comes up with the oft very tiny amount under list at $135.23, and their shipping usually seems somewhat high.

And backtracking, it looks like the B suffix part is the W12 part and in turn the 4.2 part. Notice no listing for an S4 either as a crossreference on the part. Instead, here's the Ellis page for a 4.2 S4: http://www.jimellisaudiparts.com/sho...driveLine=8055

Again, part 4. Notice no suffix letter. Can be all important on Audi trim parts; wheel center covers for example. Thus, as I expected ECS was wrong per an Audi dealer's parts listings--and the likely truth is they are using one generation older think as I mentioned earlier. You could still order the part there by # at the higher price, but notice they give no info about it if you type it in to their search box.

There is still the rattle can quick spray approach for cheap alternative. Easy to do in one color; hard in two as I play with at times, plus at least mine have some weird hot spot in one place that wont take paint even after sanding. My rear caliper decals have held up fine to brake heat as another option/add on, as have some I have done on a set of Mini JCW/Brembo front calipers. Still working on getting to a die cut W12 logo with an S8 like look for when I have way too much spare time.

I do know that they can be bought as a separate part, and can be used with 04 model year calipers. I've seen other members on other forums with this mod, any help would be appreciated.

PS: my car is a 2004L, VagCom Lowered, Magnaflow exhaust (sounds real nice and stealthy), running 22x10.5 rear, 22x9 front, with Nitto Invos, and a "ebay" lip spoiler that was painted to match..
Good work, but you can paint your existing anti rattle clips. See my post on caliper painting. Not sure I'd recommend powder coating. Will that work with tolerances etc? PM if you need more info,.

What brand wheels are you running? I like that concave setup your running there... The whole is nicely done.
