Seat Module replaced - Coding ?
 

Hey All,

Just replaced seat control module, soft coding is correct for my car (2006 a8LW12) . Have a component protection active message and Seat memory functions dont work. I replaced it because my lumbar up/down and massage was not working. (Lumbar buttons and Motors are good).

Now The lumbar up/down worked but then threw a code for potentiometer out of range, cleared code and now have the component protection active code that will not clear. massage still did not work.

Here is the question - do I need to "Learn" the seat parameters or do an adaptation to clear the code and get the functions to work ? Is it something I can do through VCDS ? I was thinking I may need to teach the new module the range of the potentiometer or something.

The car has to be taken to the dealer to have the protection code cleared.

..great..do they need any numbers from me or is it a common thing they do no problem ?
