Steering wheel heater always on
I have a 2005 A8L and this morning the steering wheel started heating up. My seat heater was off and the temperture in the car was normal (i.e. the day was warm). Car is parked in garage so its not the sun heating the wheel.
I've turned the car off for few hours but when I start it up the wheel heats up again.
Has anyone had this happen to them. Do I need to take to dealer or is there some setting in the computer I can change.

Re: push the on /off button behind the left lower spoke of the steering wheel
Wish it was that easy. There is no on/off on the steering wheel. That must be on the next years model. I looked everywhere for a button.

Nothing in the owner's manual about it. I think the steering wheel heater is only activated when the heated seats are on???

No button and as 8292632 stated the wheel heater starts up when seat heater is turned on. I tried turning seat heaters on and then off but still the wheel stays hot.
