Hi, just picked up a 2004 Audi A8 3.0 TDI and want to get some bluetooth sorted before a long trip.

It does't have AMI but it's got the tv tuner in the boot so thought I could get this aux cable:

and one of these bluetooth modules to do a neat install in the boot(trunk)...

However, doing a bit of googling it sounds like there is no Switched power in the boot and it's all always on. Is this true?

If so, will the bluetooth module drain the battery (I sometimes don't use my car for 2-3 weeks)? Any suggestions for getting a switched 12v back there?

Find the ignition on wire and use relay to turn on.
