This sort of happened to me but on the trunk lid ones. The glue lets old over time and water gets in them, then, they just fall off. I bought a new one and carefully caulked the seam to reinforce the original glue.

I have seen this sort of failure before but it is usually prefaced with condensation in the lens. The lens is welded on and over time the weld cracks. Time to search ebay.
A new one from AUdi is $400+

Yep, mine went from no issue to slightly loose (which I tried to glue) to scattered to the wind in a month or so in middle of summer--and thus no condensation...
Also if one is going, going, gone, check the others. May not be far behind. BTDT too.

Yep, exact same thing happened to me... however, I was the cause of the lens coming off... I pulled my hockey bag out of the trunk and accidentally caught the edge of the lens with my bag, and it just popped off... landed on the ground beside the car.
I bought a tube of clear silicone and put a nice bead all the way around the broken seam and put it back in place, used masking tape to hold it for 8 hours and it has been solid for the last 3 months of winter cold weather.

There was some condensation build up in that light.
the others are all good and don't have any condensation from what I can see. What do you think, should I just get the new face lift lights? I'm really liking those but boy are they expensive!

I took my crappy soldering iron and plastic welded the inside edges back together. I also noticed MANY hairline cracks in the red housing, which I also soldered closed. I did hope it would remove any more water from entering mine. It did help, but it is still getting in somewhere slowly. I will do it again this spring. I plan on using extra plastic and add to the transition between the red and and lens.
