I ordered a pair of the Karlyn front upper control arms from FCP, and they arrived yesterday. They certainly LOOK like a quality part. The casting is good, the ball joint is good (as I'd expect for a US BJ), and the bushing looks excellent. It is NEARLY solid, with just two small openings. As I recall the OE arm on my '07 A8 base has 5 holes through the bushing, and they are fairly good sized. I suspect this bushing may be a bit stiffer than the OE one was. I'll get a picture posted of the bushing soon.

I'm curious to see as to how long they'll last. Karlyn seems to be bottom of the barrel, at least judging form the price.

Any update Gary? I need to do mine soon, but I will probably just go OEM and not take the risk since I am sure the install is a PITA. Looks like the S8 OEM arms are cheaper "F" version, so maybe I will use those.
