Hello all,
I have a '05 A8 W12 and the other day I had to jump start because car lights where left on for a week while on vacation. Since then every time I get in car driving over 5 MPH I get a solid WARNING tone from dash(NOT DING..DING but more like if you held down a phone button). It does this for like a minute then it goes off if I'm on the highway or until I brake below 5 MPH. When I'm driving around town it happens every time I stop and have to start again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do have VCDS but don't know what to look for on the printout. Thanks

Sounds like a parking sensor issue? Maybe something happened to the system when the battery died.

Thank you for responding. The Front mid sensor shows up on vcds scan. Is there a way to troubleshoot or disable parking sensors?

I don't know for the D3 but on D2's the parking sensor control unit is in the the trunk on the driver's side under the CD unit.

If you want to disable the system, try pulling the fuse.
