Thinking to get an A8, need more info from current owners (a8 vs 745li vs phaeton, etc)
I just got my car totalled, and now looking for a replacement with big passenger space.
I could only think of a8, 745li, and phaeton (not the s class as they have the new body style already)
So anyone could share some thoughts why do you bought a8 or if have read any artikel or reviews or comparison of those vehicles.
does the 2004 a8 rear passanger seats can be adjusted already?
TIA

Impatient waiting on that June 31st delivery date for your Galardoo?
It's rumored that we'll get the ability to adjust the rear seats on our 2004 A8s sometime in late 2007, but I'm not personally expecting that schedule to be met.

feel tthe love

Very happy with my PhA8 after nearly a year and 24k miles. Very unique vehicle and lots of rear seat room Get a 4-seater and the rear seats adjust individually. Thinking about going to a W12, they are available used for under $60,000 and the V8's are about $45,000 for a nice low miles 2004-05.

I posted some of my observations on the A8 vs the 745iL on this forum, (now page 2 - 2006-03-23). I came out of a 745iL and got the a8 SWB. The LWB and 750iL have big back seats, the SWB is a bit confined in foot space. My erroes in the A8 selection were taking the 19" wheels, too firm and slappy a ride for me, and not getting the LWB. Color selection is personal but the Northern Blue is always dirty up north. I think the 750 is a quietier car than the a8, although some add the thicker window glass to compensate and I can't tell how much noise is coming from the tires.
I really think the A8 is a much more beautiful car, inside and out and I appreciate the Quatro. The iDrive in the BMW is horrible and my dealer was worthless, finally even charging for a loaner during warrantee repairs, shame on him. If you have specific issues I'd be happy to address them. I had 6 years with 7 series and passed this last time around. I am very happy with the choice I made.

Buy the A8L, I drove MB's for 20 years and thought they were great until this car. I have had no problems in 21,000 miles. The back seat is the largest I have ever seen, plenty of room and then some. The interior is pure luxury and the MMI is easy to understand and use. I've seen the new S class and I wouldn't go back to them at all, over rated and over PRICED.
