Default tire advice

I did a few searches on here regarding quiet tires and seems that there are some conflicting reports on some tires...here is what I gathered are the quietest tires:

1. Pirelli
2. Dunlop Sport Maxx
3. Avon Tech
4. Michelin
5. Continental

Can anyone point me towards the right direction in terms of getting the quietest tire manufactuer and model that will last me the most - do alot of hwy driving (I drive 90-100mph but not spiritied driving at all, just on cruise control).

Thanks in advance.

Michelin makes a 19" ZR rated with a treadwear number of 400. That should provide more miles than the others for you.

Default Of COURSE there is. Steering clear of someone who consistantly drives that fast

is a good idea. Right???

The cheap, aftermarket wheels I bought from Tire Rack (only 17" though) look like those. The problem I have is part of the claiper rusts, which looks like crap when parked. Those wheels make the rust easy to see. I will probably paint them when I change wheels this spring.

I have the 19" turbines for my warm season driving.
