Default Tire pressure monitoring

The tire pressure monitoring system on my '05 SWB quit working. When I go to the MMI screen and select on, it sits there for a few seconds and then flips to off and that's it. The car only has 1,200 miles on it and isn't due for service for a while. Any ideas what's wrong and how long it will take to fix? Not a big deal but it is kind of cool and it should work.

Default flips to off by itself? I'm not sure exactly I know what you mean but...

basically, if I reset the tire monitoring system, it seems as the tire monitoring system is not working. It is not registering anything. However, after you wait a bit, not sure how long, but I'm guessing 15-30 minutes, it registers it again.

Make sure you just set it at on, and reset it. Let it register on its own, if that doesn't work, you might want to go ask your Tech at Audi.

The tire pressure monitoring is fairly accurate and definetely a cool gadget. Tire monitoring system found a slow leak on my front tire. Drove around, and then ignored it. I park it in front a restaurant, come out, the whole tire is flat within an hour and a half.

What happens is the system is set to 'off.' When I go in to the MMI and set it to 'on,' after about 3 seconds, it switches to 'off' and that's it. It won't stay on.

Default Re: Tire pressure monitoring

I have the exact same problem on an '05 A8L with about 850 miles on it. I would find that the TPS system was off, try to turn it on, it would read on for a couple seconds and then change itself to off. I have an appt on 11/09 for the dealer to replace my TPS control module. We'll see if that does it. I hope it does as I was (am ?) worried that the dreaded MMI issues have begun.
Good luck

I was having the same problem. And also, a new twist just started: now as soon as I start the car I get a warning that my "tyre" pressure is low.
Have it scheduled for service on 11/9, will report findings.

Had the control module replaced. System seems to be working fine now. Good luck.
