Gang,

Am I an idiot or is there no way to slide the alcantara cover back and see thru the glass with the sunroof/moonroof closed? In other words, is the only way to see out thru the sunroof/moonroof by having the whole thing slid into the open position? If you can slide just the glass cover back, I sure cannot figure it out.

Not sure if you have solar sunroof. If it is just regular you can slide cover alone.

I do have the solar sunroof.........so you cant slide the cover back if you have this?

Correct. if you could you would be looking at solar panels.

My last 2 Audis had the solar roof and I really didn't like the fact that you couldn't see out the roof without it open, but that's the way it is. Now my current Audi does not have the solar panels. You'll get used to it.

I had one with a solar roof and one without. I prefer without as I like it dark inside the car, especially paired with the tint. So when I open the roof it is fully open, or it is dark when closed. I didn't mind it one bit, but to some they really like letting the light in from the sunroof.
