Hi, the last few days i have had this alarm going of while driving, and i cant figure out what it is. nothing wrong is displayed on the dash.
any ideas?


PS: i know the interior is filthy. i havent gotten to that part yet (big job next weekend)

Well, it may have something to do with that flashing yellow light. I know when the check engine light flashes, you are supposed to stop immediately. Perhaps something that was wrong before has gotten worse and now the car believes it to be at a critical level of failure.

the light is just the brake pad warning, i dont have a vagcom yet and the car didnt like that i changed the rear pads and disks without it. that message had been there for a month, but not the beep

Does it only happen at speed, is it a speed warning ?

hmm, when i think about it, yeah it shut up when im stationary. but shouldnt it show on the display?

Not necessarily, the speed warning is buried in the mmi somewhere. Good suggestion, worth looking for it. It's under one of the Car menus, if I recall.

ill try that one out tomorrow, i dont know why it would be on though, i sure *** hell havent activated it

Sounds like the speed warning. On mine, it's under Car > Systems > Instrument Cluster

P.S. You need a swiffer for the steering column!

Its not from the inside. And its there when standing still. Its from the outside. The enginebay. Its loud as hell closw to the washer fluid filler cap. Wtf is this?
