Default VAG-COM Preparations and Questions

So

I am getting ready to lower my car and remove the annoying chimes

I have the lowering down pat I think, but I have some questions on the chimes.

I know you have to simply enter "zero" for the seat belt chime, but when it comes to the door chime, I am not sure about a few things.

I want to make my car German, but will that cause issues with AM radio stations? What about FM stations? What about language selection and KM vs. mph? I can always change to GB, but then my car will be stupid - I would rather not have that

What would people recommend I do?

Thanks for your help

Anthony

ps - I have a 2007 S8

Default DON'T CODE GERMANY or RoW FOR THE DOOR SETTINGS!!!!!!!!!

You'll cause a ton of issues with the MMI interfaces. If you want to remove the door chime, use UK only. You'll have the opposite front doors showing ajar, but it is the only way to remove the chime without major issues.

Default I honestly can't tell you if you'll have problems with the UK settings...

I've never listened to AM stations. Try it, but write the code down first. You can revert back (Except if you code Germany!)

Default UK cars do pick up AM stations, so I don't see why you'd lose the ability to pick up stations

The frequency selection should read [DAB]/FM/MW/LW if MMI is coded for UK. If you give me a day or two, I can check what AM frequency range my car can tune to.
