$600?! Wow, I got this done fairly quickly and I'm just a regular DIY guy. You'll have to remove the air intake box and coil packs. Buy a couple extra valve cover screws incase you strip some out while removing them. But mine out all out fairly easily.
I used this kit to get at the back bolts, and it was quite easy.

This should only take you about 3 hours and not too much pain.

I am taking mine in next week. Audi dealer quoted me $350 for both side. I will supply the gaskets. If they screw it up they fix it. The dealers all kept telling me I needed to buy new cover with left side. B.S.- found both gaskets at rmeropean.
Brozee, will replacing Cam seal add much to the job?
