I think the lack of Knee airbags (we only get them in NA on the A8)
no night vision system, no "pre-safe", the 1st generation Active Cruise Control and possibly the rear visibility might have influenced that decision.

I've never heard of those specific models...I'm in U.S.
I don't believe that we have an A8 with any smaller engine than the 4.2 in the U.S.A.
Not sure about the 730i either.
This could be comparing cars that handle/drive differently than what we are used to (at least in the U.S.)
