That'd I'd like to see. Sounds striking.

I went to dig up my pics from the CarMax listing and the page is gone (surprise). I will see if I can find a cache.

I found this one for a 4.2TDI. The interior looks inspired by a cherry Airhead. That may be too much red, what do you guys think?

That is what the W12 looked like and I FREAKING LOVE IT. Only difference was the W12 had a dark black colored wood trim. All the hate over there for the red interior is out of place. :(

I am one of the unlucky people that had one of the two O2 senors go that required an engine drop (circled in the pic below). I live in a state that requires O2 sensors. Based on the price of the work, I was tempted to get a condo in AZ or FL and never have to worry about it again...
Good thing was they they switched all sensors etc while it was out, so I should be good for a while (fingers crossed!).

Hi! I have a problem with P0160 02-sensors in my W12 ( Bank 2, sensor 2). The sensors in the image that require engine removal is the Bank 1 & 2 sensor 2?

I would be really tempted to cut a hole in the floorboard/tunnel and then cover the hole with some sheet metal and some screws.

I agree. I've posted years ago that before I would pull an engine to replace an Oxygen sensor, I would pull back the carpet in the footwell and use the pictured tools to attempt access. Patching the new access hole(s) would be easy with Silastic and the removed pieces along with maybe another piece of larger sheet metal; er, sheet aluminum.

Keeping with the Audi spirit, only Bosch tools would be used

Rather than hacking the tunnel about, I'd sooner have an oxygen sensor stub installed in the exhaust pipe in an accessible place. Unplug and leave the old one in place, plug the newly located one into the loom in its place. Job done.

I did a pre O2 sensor on my W12 by cutting a hole in the heat shield just big enough for the wrench to fit in, it took many flips of the wrench, but it worked !

And then I patched it.......

Thank you so VERY much guys! Both solutions sounds like interesting options to the removal of the engine (Cutting hole / Installing in more accessible place).

Got any more information about where to cut the hole, or a good alternative place to put sensors etc? Would really appreciate it. :) I am gonna contact an independent workshop for the work. It definitly sounds doable!

I got a quote on 4800usd(39500sek) from Audi to change the sensor.
