Hello,

I realized that I never used this button (see picture) and I can't figure out what it does. I cannot find any info in the manual. Any ideas?

It changes the city/highway driving lights without going through the MMI.

You mean it switches between the two modes?

Yes sir. Dont know why that button was needed. I never use it.

It doesn't switch between modes of the ambient lighting, it just turns whichever mode you have selected on or off (just in case you want to remind yourself what it's like in most other cars at night). ;-))

Mine had no function since Ambient Light was OFF and Ambient Light Menu in MMI was off too (invisible). To turn menu on I had to go to the Hidden Menu and turn it on at two different places.

Mishar -- How can i access the hidden menu to turn the option on in MMI? I have the same thing where it's not listed in the menu.

To access HIDDEN MENU you press SETUP + CAR and hold for a few seconds.

If you can't access it you have to enable access using VCDS.

Once in HIDDEN MENU (green) scroll to DIAG SETTINGS than APK 0X01,0X0B, 0X0C (whatever that means), than check INTERIOR LIGHTING and finally scroll all the way down and ACCEPT CHANGES.

At the end pres simultaneously Phone + main button + right front select button next to main button to reset MMI.
