Default Where is the XM module located and does

anyone have pictures of how easy or difficult it is to remove? Also in 2008 was XM an option or just Sirius?

Behind left side luggage compartment trim, 4 screws, #8 in picture of car.
No idea if XM was available.

Thx..So what are the chances the XM module from my 04 will fit my new to me 08?

In the manual it specifically shows up to MY2005 and MY2006 on differently.
They look pretty similar in the pictures, just oriented differently.
So.... you could always plug it up and see if it throws a DTC. It will show up at address 0F as Component: SDAR XM

I don't see any adaption requirements in any of the other sections, but am not 100% sure.

My new 08 comes with Sirius but I like XM better and would love to swap it.

I don't understand why. Sirius and XM have merged and have the same content (just on different numerical channels for legacy XM).
