who is getting an S8?

I hate to say it Ryan, but my sales experience at the dealer you work at was HORRIBLE.
Rather than bore anybody with details, I'll just say that more than one of your dealership salesmen, and one of your sales managers are rude and not trustworthy.
Additionally, there is a ton of negative commentary about your employer (dealership) on AudiWorld.
If you are going to ask people to come buy a car from your dealership, then I'm going to put my 2-cents in, and tell people to beware!

The main differences you'll notice will be the lower final drive and the suspension
The SWB W12 is very close the the spec of the S8, so I'm really expecting to notice a slight change in weight balance (lighter engine) and handling (suspension and 60/40 torque split), and having to do a little more work (lower torque but higher revs) to get the same rolling performance out of the S8.
Knowing what totally different beasts the LWB and SWB W12s are, I'd say that coming from an LWB W12, the feeling of better sprint performance and harder, flatter suspension will overwhelm any other subtler changes.
If ever you've been in an RS 6, the SWB W12 feels (as the S8 should) like that kind of performance, but with less understeer, and all the toys and creature comforts you're used to in the D3.
I'd rather have an S8 than an LWB W12, but that's because of my driving style; if you want a comfortable highway cruiser, the W12 is going to be far more relaxed.

I completely agree! Several of the sales people, and one in particular, are rude, mendacious and downright nasty to the point where I have sworn to myself that I will never buy a car from them again. I have recommended to several of my friends buying Audis that they look elsewhere even if this dealership is more conveniently located. The sales manager and owners clearly condone this behaviour so I see no reasen to go back. I have bought several cars from them in the past but the guy I did business with has moved on - so why would I?
I think that dealerships like this are a big part of the reason why people who are looking to buy top-notch luxury cars often look to other brands than Audi and if AoA chooses to do nothing it will be a loooong climb up - even if they have a superior and more desirable product (which I happen to think that Audi has).
Just my $0.02
