Window buttons problem

Window buttons problem
Hey guys, I have an 2005 A8. I try to roll down/up the passanger side window from the drivers side, Wont work. How ever if you are sitting on the passanger you can open close the window no problem. Has anyone experienced this issue? possible fix?

Can you operate all the other windows from drivers main switches, if yes then try cleaning the switch and connection with electrical spray cleaner.

I have friends who had A6's & A4's, and it was the drivers main switch that went out, some the cleaning worked but, you must carefully disassemble the switch to get to the board, some others the cleaning did not work.....
I have never had this problem on an A8.

A ten year old switch, that sometimes get wet from rain or snow owes you nothing. Replacement is the best option here. That said, try really pressing it down hard and moving it from side to side (4 ways) while pressed down. This should clean the contacts somewhat and the switch may work again. For awhile.....

Bad drivers light switch module set up most likely. It is sold as a single part block with all the switches. Not that expensive surprisingly, and not very hard to replace. Cosmetically you get a new/clean look to switches and soft touch.
Had the issue on my 2000 A6 with the same general design. Plugged in new module, rand windows full down and full up ( to reset one touch up/down) and i was done. Actually not nearly as costly or trouble prone as cars like my C3 Audi 5000 that probably went through every window switch on the car, some more than once.
