Glass insurance as part of your auto policy
If it is a small chip, it should be repairable by a auto glass repair firm. Has not happened on my Audi but on other cars I think it only cost me $50.

Re: Which insurance company? Maybe I need to check with my agent!
State Farm pays for local repairs to chips. I realize that I'm in the A8 Forum now so would suggest that you send one of the servants to NAPA or Schucks for the chip repair kit which takes less than 10 minutes to apply & which is better time management than making appointments with agents of agents, etc.
By the way, I think these cars are magnets for rock chips & am anticipating Paldi's illustration to explain the aerodynamic inevitability of it all.
Has anyone tried the 3M plastic invisable bra? On the car I mean.

3M automotive film
I have a 3M kit on my D3 and it has definitely saved me from rock chips. However, it is more visible (especially on a black car) than I expected it to be. It is much less visible on grey and silver cars.

We have State Farm! =)
Gonna have to check into this, it's Randy's car that has the rock chip in the windshield. Actually, I don't have one rock chip on my car (I've probably just jinxed myself by saying that) but I sure go through tires, my baby seems to magnetically pick up every nail and screw on the road!
