Default Would like to add FBAS (Paging those who have)

I would like to add the FBAS with "Tv tuner" (to use the av inputs). If I buy a 4E0035729A, is there any software revision I need to look out for? Would I need to re-do the mmi update if its not to date? Any things to look out for other than the component protection?

Any -A unit will do, it will be nice if the software version will be at least 33.6.0 but you don't need to look for a specific software revision, because you can update the new unit to the latest firmware.

But you may need to convert it from EU to US... I don't really know if that's necessary as I am from EU and FBAS versions are EU versions.

This is the only one I could find
Audi Multimedia Interface Audi A8 D3 MMI 2G CP Free | eBay

But no fbas
Email him and see if he has one.

I remember someone in Luton uk selling them before maybe same seller.
Search cp free or component protection free.
The Mmi module seems the only one that it can be removed from.

Do you know what is needed to upgrade the firmware?

I've been looking into the poland option as well. Sending my unit in, and getting the FBAS circuit added VS. buying another one, and getting the CP off.

Default If you're in the bay area, I still have a spare set left

Drop buy, in 20 minutes, it will be done... You need to cut the case for the FBAS connector.

Im very interested, I travel to SJC for work very often. Did you add the circuit yourself? I do alot of electrical/mechanical work but I have never added chips or soldered resistors that small. So unless I can find someone to do the work it might be out of the question.
