I PAID ALMOST $600 FOR THE XM MODULE @ CHAMPION AUDI. POMPANO BEACH. INSTALLATION TIME + OIL SERVICE: 2 DAYS.

I JUST ACTIVATED MY XM RADIO. NOW I HAVE A LOT OF SAT RADIO STATIONS. NICE SOUND. SONG´S NAME, ARTIST´S NAME & GENRE ARE DISPLAYED ON MMI SCREEN.

I SUSPECT THAT MMI UPGRADE CAMPAING WAS MADE TO LURE CUSTOMERS TO BUY & SUSCRIBE XM OR SYRIUS SAT RADIO. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE THAT I CAN SEE SO FAR IS THAT THE MMI SCREEN IS DISPLAYING THE TIME.

Got the XM installed yesterday, sound great (compare to the FM modulator on the Roady) take forever to "update station list" pressing the MMI button not always help to interrupt the update cycle. Got the car in March 2004 (previous car was A6 T2.7), VIN is in the 17xxx, the car is black with black interior with the usual options, got it from Commonwealth Audi in Southern California. As for the XM, I ordered the tuner with the car (03/04) and got it early June but could not install it until Audi released the MMI software last week.
