Default XM Radio - poor quality sound

I had XM radio installed earlier this week. I have noticed that the quality of the sound is poor, particularly with the talk radio stations. Voices sound distorted - like a poor streaming feed through the internet. I assume this is not normal. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Defective tuner? Installation not performed correctly? Other?

Default The music should be just short of CD quality. Are all of the talk stations

coming in the same way? How does the music sound?

Default All of the talk stations are distorted. Music is also poor.

I just called XM and the tech expert said the "line out" needs to be adjusted. He thought the MMI controls would be able to adjust the line out or audio level, however, I do not think we can make this adjustment throught the MMI. It probably needs to be adjusted on the receiver. Any idea where the receiver is installed?

Default That's odd...I've found the music on my XM to be very close to CD quality

And I'm thrilled with the variety of music available.

What you're hearing is probably not normal after any satellite radio installation. I'd check with the dealer that performed the installation and see if there is a defect present.

Default Spoke to the dealer today .

Dealer said there are no adjustments available on the receiver. It is simply installed without adjustment. I have an appointment to see if they failed to connect it properly, otherwise it sounds like the receiver may be defective. The XM plays with half the volume of AM and FM stations with a noticeable difference in quality. Also sounds like the XM is not coming through all of the speakers.

Did you resolve this problem? I'm having a similar problem with my Sirius.
